Second Grade Scoop

The week starts our final units of study in Reading and Writing - how time flies! With our new Writing unit, we will be conducting experiments and writing up results. On Wednesday this week, students should bring in one of the following candies of choice so they can conduct a follow up experiment: M&Ms, Starbursts, marshmallows, Kit Kat, Reeses Pieces Cups, or Life Savers. Upcoming Events: April 30th and May 2nd - Running Club will have its last 2 practices this week. We have a short but busy half week coming up! On Monday students should bring in an egg for the schoolwide Egg Crack Off competition. Second graders are also asked to wear green for that day. Our field trip to the Barlow Planetarium is on Tuesday. We will leave around 12:40pm and should return by 2:30. If you want to order books from the Scholastic forms sent home a couple weeks ago, the due date is April 16th. Lastly, Running Club will continue this week for those that have signed up. It will only be on Tuesday after school (weather looks to be good).
